Cat Life Notes is about the everyday reality of living with cats — what they do, why they do it, and how to take good care of them. Not viral clips, not memes: the practical, sometimes puzzling, daily life questions every cat household runs into.
What gets published here
Long essays, each digging into one question properly:
- Behavior — what kneading, chirping, zoomies and slow blinks actually mean
- Everyday care — feeding, litter, grooming, and the routines that keep a cat comfortable
- Health basics — what is normal, what is not, and when a question belongs to your veterinarian
- Living together — homes, gear, and habits that work for both the cat and the human
How it is written
Every essay is published in English and Traditional Chinese. Neither version is a mechanical translation of the other — each is written to read naturally in its own language, while the claims, figures and sources stay identical across both.
Factual claims are checked before they are published, with veterinary and other authoritative sources recorded in each article's metadata. Where something is a theory or an open question — animal behavior has plenty of those — the article says so instead of presenting a guess as a fact.
A note on health topics
Articles here explain and summarize; they do not diagnose. Nothing on this site is a substitute for professional veterinary advice. If your cat's behavior or condition changes suddenly, talk to your veterinarian first.
